It’s been an up-and-down week.

I’m on a project deadline at work that’s getting very close, and the pressure is mounting, and there will be a second phase over the next month or so that will keep that pressure on. I didn’t get to take off nearly as much as I wanted to in order to spend time with Mandy over her spring break.  My 90-year-old grandmother was in the hospital for four days.  All of that on top of the minor day-to-day issues that seem to pile up and wear us out.

Friday night, I took Mandy for Mexican, and as we were seated, the servers were setting up for a party of about 20 right beside us.  The first couple came in and were seated.  The servers and the family and friends as they came in would ask the first couple how they were doing, and the husband’s reply each time was – “Every day’s a good day.”

And he’s exactly right.

I was looking back at my week, and while it wasn’t necessarily bad, I felt it was hectic, and I wished things would slow down a little bit, and I was tired.  But the project is on schedule, the second phase won’t be as difficult, Mandy got to spend some time with friends, too, and enjoyed that, and my grandmother is home and doing well.

Most importantly, I know that regardless of any circumstances, God is with me, and I am blessed beyond measure.  He has a purpose for everything that’s going on in my life, and I know that He is faithful, and that I can rest in Him.

God, help me to see every day as good -- as a blessing from You.
